Gaba deficiency symptoms are diverse and can affect the whole body. If you struggle with pain, anxiety, IBS, reflux, sweaty hands or dozens of other health concerns, you may be showing Gaba deficiency symptoms. Gaba and Serotonin are considered the calming or "braking" neurotransmitters. Dopamine and Acetylcholine are the energizing or "accelerating" ones. The "go-go's" and the "slow-slow's" as I call them! “Illegal” Pate
I call this recipe "Illegal" since it's best with lots of butter and duck fat, and a little Brandy, Bourbon or Cognac. It makes a lot, and keeps for a week in the fridge or longer in the freezer. Pate with brandy is very tasty! I've made this basic recipe for years, changing the herbs or liquor, or adding a few mushrooms to the saute phase. Give it a day or two before eating for the flavors to deepen. If you use several small ramekins ... Keep Reading >

“Baring It All” for a Vitamin D Deficiency
Why is a Vitamin D deficiency such a big deal? It's one HUGE jackpot of a Vitamin, making good things happen everywhere in the body. Our scantily-clad bodies evolved making Vitamin D3 from sunshine interacting with cholesterol in our skin. We're used to it. We WANT it! We NEED it! Pigs, chickens and cows also make D from sun. (Yet another reason to buy pastured animals, not those living indoors on concrete). So, yes ... Keep Reading >

5 Rules for Gluten-Safe Kissing
Gluten-safe kissing is important to talk about. If you're sensitive to gluten, what happens when a kissable partner has eaten pizza or beer lately? How careful do we have to be? Can we get "glutened" from kissing? There's a variety of opinions and studies on this, but several studies show the proteins from food can hang out in the mouth for several hours after consumption. Some people's mouths clear them faster than ... Keep Reading >
