Preparing nuts and seeds properly! Nuts and seeds have many beneficial properties but they also have a toxic seed coating that should be removed. Before we can realize the health benefits of nuts and seeds, we first have to understand properly preparing nuts and seeds.
Phytic acid is a protective seed coating that prevents seeds from sprouting prematurely. But it inhibits the absorption of minerals such as zinc and calcium. Choosing the right type of nuts or seeds and properly soaking or preparing them is my topic of discussion today.
