There are many reasons for poor quality sleep, including having too much light in the bedroom, sleeping with someone who disturbs you, allergies, snoring and more. Using Passion Flower for sleep and calming is one of the best secrets of my practice!

One of our everyday favorites at the Diet & Health Center is Passion Flower. We like it in a Glycerin base, rather than the alcohol base that most herbal tinctures use. The Glycerin is sweet, so you can take a squirt of the herbs anytime, without having a glass of water to drink it down with. We do also sell it in the alcohol base.
This means it’s easy to take 30 to 60 drops in the middle of the night if you wake and feel you can’t return to sleep. Or, 10 to 15 drops at the stop light while driving the car.
You can also take Passion Flower before bed to help you relax. The dosage instructions on the bottle say “Take 10 to 60 drops, 1 to 4 times daily”. In other words, take as much as you like!
SO, if it’s a 40 drop night, then go for it. If it’s a 20 drop night, that’s fine too.
Besides sleep, Passion Flower is amazingly good at just taking the edge off your daily, high-speed, “gotta get it done” mode. You can calm down, focus much better, and be a lot happier while you’re active.
In fact, we have many families who buy a bottle for every family member, kids as well as adults, to keep by their beds and put into their backpacks or briefcases. It won’t make you sleepy, unless you take a full dose, but it will noticeably calm anxiety, irritability, and, surprisingly, pain such as menstrual cramps.
