Balance your microbiome bacteria with christopher kelly on primal diet modern health podcast with beverly meyer

Chris Kelly of Nourish Balance Thrive joins me in this Primal Diet – Modern Health podcast on how to balance your Microbiome bacteria. We talk about SIBO testing, Organic Acids urine testing, proper stool testing and how to get good and bad gut bacteria in balance on a Paleo Diet.

Chris mentions helpful plant foods that feed the good bacteria, such as dandelion leaves, endive, Jerusalem artichokes, onions, garlic and the cruciferous vegetables.

If tolerated, nondigestible fiber such as acacia root, glucomannan and inulin can start the pre-biotic reinoculation process once the bad bacteria are removed. (Test and treat first)!  Zero-Carb Miracle Noodles provide one version of glucomannan.

Some topics we cover to help you balance your Microbiome:

  • Chris believes in stool testing first – I don’t always agree with that however
  • Treating gut pathogens
  • Microbiome testing for fun
  • Pre and probiotics
  • How athletes benefit from improved Microbiome balance
  • Keto Diets

Find Chris Kelly at NourishBalanceThrive.  He’s a professional athlete, podcaster and health coach, consulting with athletes and other clients on health and performance. If you’ve run a uBiome profile, Chris can map it on a cool bacteria family tree.
