Periods are Toxic Claim Vegan Bloggers. Is stopping your period with Raw Vegan foods a healthy choice?

Are your periods toxic? Is your body discarding toxic waste when you flow?

Some Raw Vegan bloggers began to claim periods are toxic wastes leaving the body as early as 2017. They say that periods are not necessary.

Have heavy flow or painful periods? Stop eating all fats, proteins and cooked food and your painful periods may stop.

The diet guidelines? Raw grains, raw vegetables, raw fruit. No fat, no meat, no eggs.

What is Amenorrhea?

Amenorrhea is lack of menstrual flow for three or more months. This can be due to menopause, pregnancy, bulimia, low body fat, excess exercise (marathoners, etc.), stress or illness.

Raw vegan diets are high carb, low protein, and low fat, with hard-to-digest foods. A set-up for malnutrition and physical and emotional problems.

Is This a Safe Diet for Teen Girls?

The loss of Calcium, Vitamin D and K2 can lead to osteoporosis. We make our permanent bones during youth.

Amenorrhea can also alter your entire hormonal future.

Are we Taught Lies About Menstrual Cycles?

One of these bloggers says:

“Menstruation is the body’s desperate attempt to free itself from toxins.  After reading the anecdotes of extremely healthy women, the possibility of completely eliminating my menstrual cycle is a goal I strive for.”

Miliany of a raw vegan living blog was 19 and rejoiced that she stopped having periods after 4 to 6 months as a Raw Vegan. She “surmises” this was due to her body “detoxing” and that many women and girls note their periods stop when they avoid protein and fat. That periods are toxic and unnecessary… She says that:

After all, “everything you were taught about menstrual cycles is a lie”.

Another young blogger promoted large quantities of one food a day, and other variations of all raw, vegan, high carb and low fat. The goal was to discover if periods are toxic.

These Raw Vegan girls (and others) do make some good points that toxins in feedlot meat and processed foods are bad for us.  And that women historically may not have had PMS and debilitating menstrual issues. I’m not sure I can agree with that as I have not studied historical reviews on women before the Industrial Age.

But most people reading my blog and hearing my podcasts understand that eating ANY toxic food or beverage is a bad idea. None of the bloggers make the point that their raw grains, veggies and fruits need to be organic and non-GMO.

Ladies! Are you really eating and living clean??

Painful Periods Need to Be Checked Out

Some people do have extremely heavy periods with severe cramping. This can be a sign of real problems, like polycystic ovaries or endometriosis. Hormone imbalances (usually excess Estrogen and low Progesterone) contribute to PMS, cramps, heavy bleeding and Fibroids.

These are not toxins but hormone imbalances.

We Make Hormones From Cholesterol

We make cortisol, progesterone, estrogen, DHEA and Testosterone from cholesterol. Directly from cholesterol. Without this base ingredient, all these hormones decline.

Your Birth Control Can be Toxic

I only want my Clients on BioIdentical Hormones for Thyroid (if needed), or for Female issues (if needed).

Most birth control methods use synthetic NON-bioidentical hormones or vaginal implants (with or without hormones).

In my opinion, these can all cause problems for years or even decades.

Really? Periods are Toxic?

Or might your menstrual status reflect your overall health, stress, hormones, lifestyle and imbalances? Solutions lie in balance, not extremes.  Thanks for reading!
