Where does body fat come from? It’s not from overeating protein, healthy fats or vegetables.
Do we need expensive drugs to get rid of it?
What if Steak, Eggs and Guacamole could actually reduce fat without drugs?
The Role of Carbohydrates in Weight Gain
If you’ve been told your high Triglycerides, blood sugar and weight gain are not under your control, you need to know the truth.
95% of the time excess carbohydrates cause your weight gain and elevated blood sugar and Triglycerides
You don’t have a drug deficiency or exotic chemical problem…..
This Scientific American article from 2013 says what Functional Health Coaches have said for 40 years. It’s excess grains, starch and sugars causing weight gain and body fat.
The Lower-Carb Life
Most people struggling with Type 2 Diabetes and hunger cravings are caught in a blood sugar cycle. This results from eating high-carb, fast-digesting foods, then having a blood sugar crash and reaching for another high-carb food to “feel better” quickly.
It’s a physical phenomenon you can stop. Quickly. With hearty meals, on time, with proteins, fats and vegetables.
Regulating blood sugar is my first goal with Clients. Stable blood sugar helps us sleep, control cravings and addictions, manage mood, and keep hormones balanced and Adrenals strong.
And, lose weight. If we don’t need to lose weight, simply add more potatoes, yams and fruit.
Insulin Resistance and Body Fat
Average adults need approximately 75 grams of carbs a day. We develop Insulin Resistance when eating 200 – 300 grams of carbs daily.
After decades of this, our cells develop Insulin Resistance and won’t allow more Insulin to escort Glucose into our cells.
This causes food binging and elevated blood sugar which cannot be metabolized without concurrent exercise.
Where Does Body Fat Come From?
Unused glucose is stored as body fat for future emergencies.
If you have excess glucose (carbohydrate) in your blood and are not currently burning it off with exercise (right now), the body MUST convert it to fat. Where else is it supposed to go?
Eliminating Excess Glucose
Unless loose stool sends your entire dinner down the toilet, fat can only be burned off or stored.
In your arms, legs, cheeks, waist, Liver, thighs….
Low-Calorie Diets Don’t Fix Obesity
Food deprivation is not the answer.
Satisfy Brain and Belly with hearty meals of Proteins, Fats and Veggies. This breaks the hunger cycle and begins to reduce the Insulin Resistance blocking nutrient absorption and hormone regulation.
See my article and Podcast on “The Definitive Guide to the Paleo Diet” for more on exactly what to eat.
