The cortex section of the adrenal gland is the control center for many hormones. It produces three types of corticosteroids. Mineralocorticoids (like aldosterone) influence the mineral electrolytes of the blood, particularly sodium and potassium. Glucocorticoids (like cortisol) influence glucose regulation and fat metabolism. The Adrenal Cortex also secretes androgens (sex hormones), important for women after menopause.

Adrenal Cortex plays a major role helping the body respond to physical and emotional stress. Chronic stress can overwhelm the adrenals and result in low energy and insomnia. This may lead to weight gain, exhaustion and increased risk of developing chronic diseases.

Recommended use:

As an adult dietary supplement take 1 to 4 capsules per day. Ideal at 3 PM when energy fades and anytime to replace caffeine or quietly help with fatigue.
