Thorne Research Adrenal Cortex-Only Glandular

The cortex section of the adrenal gland produces three types of natural corticosteroids. Mineralocorticoids (like aldosterone) influence the mineral electrolytes of the blood, particularly sodium and potassium. Glucocorticoids (like cortisol) influence glucose regulation, blood pressure and fat metabolism. The Adrenal Cortex also secretes sex hormones, important for women after menopause.

Adrenal Cortex helps the body respond to physical and emotional stress. Chronic stress can overwhelm the adrenals and result in low energy and insomnia. This may lead to weight gain, exhaustion and chronic immune dysfunction.

Recommended use:

Adults: 1 to 4 capsules per day. Ideal at 3 PM when energy fades, and anytime to replace caffeine or quietly help with fatigue. Also on arising when Cortisol should be at its peak.

50 mg. pure bovine adrenal cortex per capsule, 60 capsules.
