I prefer it to Evening Primrose Oil – it is less expensive and has both omega-3 and omega-6 fats. GLA cannot be produced in the body but must come from food. Useful for PMS, joint and cartilage function, metabolism, dry eye and boosting the immune system.

Omega 6 fats are often deficient in those eating healthy, Paleo-style diets. GLA helps maintain normal cholesterol levels and is good for the skin/scalp. It helps dilate (relax) “smooth muscle” of blood vessels and the bronchi (may be helpful for asthma and COPD).
