Preventative support for virus and flu is different from what to do if you get sick. The better your health the better your recovery. Don’t take Echinacea or other immune boosters when you are well. It can cause problems. Save it for when/if you get sick.

People with chronic respiratory issues, especially older people in less than optimal health or on immune-suppressant drugs are more at risk for illness. And those with a weakened immune system.

If you get sick, you’ll want a broad assortment of viral and cough support. Have it on hand for colds, flu and pneumonia as well. Zinc, Elderberry, our VIVI – Virox infection fighter, Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids. Our Cough Stop is a great combo of OSHA, Mullein and other herbs for respiration support. And of course, Vitamin D at substantial doses until well.

The Daily Wellness Protection Pack is a complete 2 month supply of premium vitamins, antioxidants and probiotics. You can stay on this long term to support your health.

PREVENTATIVE SUPPORT FOR VIRUS & FLU

Here are steps I personally take every flu season, and supplements and lifestyle to keep my immune system strong.

1). Wear glasses in public. Virus droplets in the air can land on your eyes. If someone coughs near you, close your eyes and turn your back.

2). Wear skirts, baggy shirts or long scarves to open doors with. Use your forearm to push doors.

3). Carry paper towels with you. Have one in your hand to open cabinets, turn on lights, unlock doors, etc. Discard. Get a fresh towel for further need. Use it to get out of the bathroom.

4). Wear cotton or vinyl gloves when using a shared computer, keys, desk or pen.

5). Use a Neti Pot once or twice every day you have been in public. This helps wash virus particles out of the sinus. Here’s my article and salt recipe on this. Don’t use Himalayan Salt.

Fix Your Diet and Lifestyle Now

6). FIX YOUR DIET and lifestyle. Now is the time to reduce immune stress and toxic load from poor food choices. There’s never been a better time to change. I teach what I call “true and correct Paleo” with lots of cooked vegetables, plenty of real animal protein (not processed powders) and lots of good fats (saturated and monounsaturated). Coconut oil is one good choice. My DVD “The Diet For Human Beings” and my eBook (w. newsletter subscription) will help you.

Sugars, processed food, soda, and junk must go. Grains are highly inflammatory. I suggest no dairy except butter, and maybe aged organic or raw hard cheese.

Supplements to improve your immune system

I have a Daily Wellness Protection Pack in my online store. It contains more items than listed here and is a complete assortment of vitamins, antioxidants and probiotics for 2 months. Check it out here.

7). Supplement to build your body, NOT to fight infection.  500 mg. Buffered Vitamin C twice daily, 15 to 20 mg. Zinc (Zinc lozenges if sick), Selenium, premium high-DHA fish oils such as Rosita or OrthOmega DHA, eat liver for real Vitamin A (a huge infection fighter) (or take our A-Emulsion Forte emulsified Vitamin A drops), Vitamin D with K2 (and sunshine at noon 3 days a week). Add antioxidants to clear the liver and reduce inflammation: Reduced Glutathione, Resveratrol, Curcumin w. Bioperine.

Probiotics are essential for the immune system. I have several in the store. Here’s a good one. SBI Protect is a dairy-free Colostrum-like immunoglobulin product. It is extremely helpful for the gut and if the gut is happy, the immune system can work better.

8). Calm your mind and body. Stress destroys the immune system! Passion Flower and N3 – Relaxa work well for my clients.

Fix Leaky Gut

9). If you are on immune-suppressant drugs for auto-immune disorders, asthma, pain and more, study the many books and articles from those of us who have resolved many of these with diet. Healing your Leaky Gut (Permeable Intestine) is absolutely possible and MUST be done if you want to recover your health. It is THE key to many functions of the body including the immune system and neurotransmitters. Here’s one article with my Primal Diet – Modern Health Podcast on this topic.

10). Sleep. Sleep better and longer to repair your body. Look at my category in the online store for Sleep, Stress and Anxiety for some ideas as well as Searching my website for Sleep articles and Podcasts.

11). Use your chiropractor, acupuncturist, body worker, homeopath, functional medicine doctor and Clinical Nutritionist (such as myself) to help solve your health problems.

Ozone and Vitamin C IV’s

12). Find local clinics providing Ozone via blood called Major Autohemotherapy. I have had dozens of Ozone infusions by IV to help with my various Herpes, Shingles and Epstein Barr viruses. They are easy and safe. Avoid those who treat it as a “spa” item or “hangover” cure.

Also locate who is doing Vitamin C by IV. Could be the same clinic doing Ozone Therapy. Vitamin C is being used in Asia effectively for immune support. Doing it intravenously is easy and has no effects on the bowel as swallowing C would have. Vitamin C and Ozone IV’s are excellent preventative as well as anti-infective.
